From the 12th to the 18th of October, Shakti Alchemy will host a women’s experience designed for deeper connection, feminine embodiment, and personal transformation. Guided by experienced female facilitators, the programme blends somatic practices, immersive rituals, women’s circles, breath work and sensory evening experiences. A space to slow down, reconnect, and reset.

Hosted at Casa Cook Samos on the Greek island of Samos, known in mythology as the birthplace of Hera and long regarded as a place connected to feminine wisdom. It’s a setting that naturally invites stillness and reflection. Here, mornings begin grounded and intentional, afternoons open into rest and island time, and evenings evolve into ritual and shared experience.

Joy Wasem

Founder – Yoga & Embodiment

Joy Wasem is the founder of Shakti Alchemy and a teacher with more than fifteen years of guiding transformative retreats and mentoring yoga teachers and embodiment practitioners worldwide. Her background in filmmaking provides a director’s instinct for atmosphere, rhythm and presence, alongside more than twenty years of Jivamukti Yoga, meditation and somatic practice.

With quiet clarity, she creates spaces where women reconnect with body, mind and soul: the nervous system settles, awareness deepens, and renewal unfolds not through striving but through lived presence. Guests leave not only rested, but with a deeper connection to themselves that tends to stay with them long after the retreat

 

Svenja Sofia

Co-founder – Sound Medicine, Embodiment & Ritual Arts 

Svenja Sofia is a Feminine Embodiment teacher and Spiritual Somatic Coach, specialising in sound, ritual, and body-based practice. Her work creates experiences of depth, healing, and inner clarity, guiding women gently but powerfully towards their voice and authentic expression.

Her sessions build a sense of presence, strength, and self-trust that tends to stay with guests long after the retreat ends.

How to Book

Casa Cook Samos

Accommodation is booked separately, and mealtimes follow the room and board you choose – breakfast with every stay, choose Half Board to have dinner included all week, or add dinner when it suits you. Lunch can be added whenever you like. In keeping with the spirit of the retreat, the group tends to gather for dinner each evening – a lovely part of the week, always by choice. Here is how to book:

  1. Use the booking bar to choose your arrival and departure dates. We recommend arriving the day before and leaving the day after to fully settle into the week.
  2. Select your room and dining option.
  3. Before checkout, add the Shakti Alchemy Experience to complete your booking.

Days follow a gentle rhythm:

Morning: embodiment practices – movement, breath, grounding
Midday: free time for rest and integration
Afternoon / evening: immersive rituals and shared dinners

Evenings are immersive and atmospheric, combining movement, sound, breath and sensory elements. They include our women’s circles and rituals such as the cacao ceremony – moments designed to deepen connection to yourself, the group, and the environment.

The Samian Dinner Experience is part of your experience. Beyond that, your dining follows the room and board you choose: Bed & Breakfast includes breakfast, with dinner available on site whenever you like; Half Board includes breakfast and dinner across the full week. Lunch can be added to either, whenever you’d like it.

Nourishing, social, and designed as a shared experience – fresh, seasonal dishes served beachfront in a relaxed, communal style.

Yes. The experience intentionally includes spacious afternoons to relax, integrate, or explore the island at your own pace. Spa treatments are a lovely way to spend this time. Joy and Svenja are happy to help you find the treatments or gentle activities that best suit your day.

We recommend joining all sessions to experience the full journey. The week is designed as one fluid, connected arc. That said, there’s plenty of space to unfold at your own pace, and if you’d like to step back from something, you’re welcome to, in dialogue with the facilitators.

No prior experience is needed. All sessions are guided in a clear, intuitive and accessible way, so both beginners and experienced participants feel comfortable and included.

Sessions are held in English or German, depending on the group.

An intentionally small, curated group of up to 15 women, so the experience stays intimate.

Guided by Joy and Svenja of Shakti Alchemy, experienced facilitators in feminine embodiment, ritual, and sound.

Yes. Many guests join solo. The experience naturally creates a strong sense of connection and shared experience, while still giving you space for yourself.

Yes. You can have short one-on-one check-ins with the facilitators during the retreat if you need guidance or personal support. If you’d like to go deeper, a longer private session can be booked during or after the retreat. A small, dedicated team is present throughout to make sure you feel supported and cared for.
