CASA COOK SANTORINI
SANTORINI: A DIFFERENT PERSPECTIVE
About
In Firostefani, where traditional cave houses are woven into Santorini’s volcanic landscape, Casa Cook finds a home of its own. Rooted in the island’s architectural heritage and reimagined through our philosophy of simple, considered living, it brings together the warmth of a private home and the quiet beauty of the caldera.
As our most intimate house yet, Casa Cook Santorini offers a deeply personal way to experience the island. Mornings belong to the view, afternoons to wherever the island takes you, and evenings to long conversations, whether at a shared table in the village or back at the house as the sun sinks into the sea. Bookings for our intimate caldera retreat will open shortly, welcoming our very first season above the Aegean in the summer of 2027.
CONCEPT & DESIGN
SMALL BY NATURE
There is a particular kind of calm that belongs to a small house. With just a handful of rooms carved into the pumice cliffs, Casa Cook Santorini offers the feeling of a private hideaway above the caldera. The spaces are shaped by soft curves and earthy textures: walls in sand and warm taupe, dark timber, linen and stoneware, creating a quiet contrast to the island’s familiar blue and white.
ROOTED IN THE ISLAND
Hand-dug into the volcanic rock, these cliffside dwellings were originally shaped by everyday life, once serving as traditional wine cellars and humble shelters. Their beauty was born from necessity: thick stone providing natural coolness, and arched openings drawing in the Aegean light. Today, Casa Cook honours that honest architectural heritage, creating spaces where simplicity feels intentional and design remains quietly connected to the landscape.
SANTORINI
Beyond its famous sunsets, Santorini is an island of volcanic landscapes, centuries-old villages and extraordinary local flavours. Walk the caldera’s edge, explore ancient Akrotiri, discover family-run wineries or take to the water for a different perspective on the island’s dramatic coastline.
